a hollow, book-chain style link which gives the necklace beautiful movement and conserves gold, which helps keep the cost down

while the exact age of this piece is a mystery, it came with some damage that had to be repaired and it shows a few minor time-earned scars, which speak to being worn and loved by someone for some length of time

a sturdy almost hidden clasp and a secure safety clasp mean this necklace isn't at risk of escaping from your neck

the center of the necklace is stationary with a subtle chevron shape, which helps keep the center of the necklace hanging properly when worn

the diamonds are lower quality and many of them have damage, but the look of the necklace isn't impacted by either, because each daily link is an illusion setting with white gold overlay giving the appearance of diamond sparkle, without the diamonds and the corresponding price tag. it's actually kind of tricky to spot the transition from the center links with diamonds to the side links without diamonds

the yellow gold S-bends have some time-earned patina, which will make some appear slightly brassy in hue

one of the links was just repaired by a jeweler, and one diamond was replaced, but it's nearly impossible to find the location of either repair

there's one link that has discolored patina visible on the back of the chain

there are a few of the book chain links with minor bends in the folded link form, but none that impact how the chain moves or hangs
